Read What Previous Clients Have to Say

Elder law and any legal situation dealing with seniors requires a special level of trust and dedication. You don’t want to choose just any attorney without really getting to know them. At ProActive Legal Care Law Office, LLC, we have worked hard to earn the trust of all of our clients throughout the years, and we would be honored to earn yours as well. Many of these clients have given us permission to publish brief testimonials here to help you feel more comfortable working with us. Please take a moment to read through what they have to say.

I have been a client of Georges’ for over 10 years. He is extremely knowledgeable about Will and Estate Planning. George takes the time to explain everything in layman’s terms so the client is able to make the best choice for themselves and their family. I highly recommend Proactive Legal!

My parents moved to Stuart in the mid-70’s and I finished my high school matriculation at Martin County High School. Afterwards, my mother began working outside the home in a real estate office led by one of the most respected brokers in the area. He introduced her to George Hough when he worked as a real estate attorney. His reputation was second-to-none. He was known to be reasonable, fair and honest. He still is. Though his area of law practice has metamorphosed to elder care, his values remain constant: reasonable, fair and honest. George has demonstrated the utmost care in writing my parents’ documents for the ease of their most difficult change of lifestyle. Their vibrancy of life might be diminishing with each creak and crick, but they are certain that their wishes are set, that their children have explicit direction, and that the authorities and service providers of their future care have all the legalities they need. George Hough takes time to listen, assess the legal details behind the wishes, ask the right questions, and write up the documents in a clear and precise manner. I recommend anyone needing direction or assistance to make sure their parents are taken care of to please make an appointment to meet George. You will be glad you did.

I retired to Florida from New Jersey a year ago. After 3 months my husband became ill and was admitted to an Assisted Living facility. A friend recommended George Hough of ProActive Legal to assist me with the Medicaid forms, which he did as soon as possible. Also to protect my interest he revised my will, POA, deed, and all other necessary forms. He is a dedicated and sympathetic attorney in his practice of elder law. I would strongly recommend Mr. Hough if the situation arises.

P.S. He likes lemon cheesecake

Fred was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

We were working with Hospice, as recommended by our physician, and Hospice first started applications to Medicaid. When Hospice dropped Fred, DCF ordered him to be placed in an Assisted Living facility.

From there he was placed in the hospital for 4 days, due to many problems in care, he was then transferred to a local Nursing home which again was helping me go through the Medicaid application.

It wasn’t until George Hough, as our attorney, spent many hours and successfully helped us to get the Medicaid approval, that once Fred was moved into Salerno Bay, a better nursing home and closer to home, they had no problems applying the Medicaid, as George had done the work for them.

George continued in helping us with the Estate planning and dealing with the many insurance policies even after Fred’s death. Throughout the many problems Fred was having, George was a great friend, not just an attorney. George having a mother in Alzheimer’s had complete understanding of what I was going through. I have many thanks for all his services.
